Intended use
brainTale-care is a medical device Software as a Service (web platform) to extract standardized parameters from brain Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and provide prognosis scores for neurological disorders conditions.
brainTale-care provides two analysis modules:
- brainQuant module for the processing of brain diffusion MR images uploaded on brainTale-care and the provision of the diffusion regional standardized parameters.
- brainScore-coma module for the provision of a neurologic prediction score related to comatose patient outcome based on diffusion regional standardized parameters from brain diffusion MR images provided by brainQuant.
Please read carefully the user manual of the platform and the modules before any use.
The instructions for use are supplied in electronic form instead of paper form, either through the medical device (https://webapp.braintale.eu/brainTale-care, “Resources” tab after login in) or on the corporate website (https://www.braintale.eu, using the link and password provided during user training). A PDF reader is required.
A paper version will be provided within 7 days at no additional cost upon request to customer service.
brainTale-care platform intended users are defined by its modules.
For brainQuant module: Neuroradiologists or any other physicians trained by BrainTale, who may prescribe a Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination to assess a patient’s brain.
For brainScore-coma module: intensive care physicians or neuroradiologists trained by BrainTale.
Support to intended users: Paramedical staff can use the software as support operator for intended users.
In case of local server installation, it must be stored in dedicated place that is cooled; locked and accessible to authorized people only; allowing wired connection to the internal IT system of the institution.
